Roberto Vecchioni

Great artist with peaks in the seventies and also the very early eighties. Following a few not-so-great albums from the eighties, he showed he could reinvent himself with class in 1993. However, the best Vecchioni for me remains that of the period 1975-1982.

Roberto Vecchioni is an Italian singer-songwriter and former high-school professor whose work combines literary references, myth and intimate storytelling. Active since the mid-1960s, he is best known for songs and albums such as Samarcanda and Elisir.
