Keith Richards

Here we have a guitarist with a technique that many would describe as unclassifiable, just as it is unclassifiable for me to see a gem like the Telecaster being handled by a Neapolitan minstrel who is a novice in rock. He doesn’t even have a touch among my favorites (I personally find Ronnie Wood much more vibrant and original, despite a similar technical level), but he remains an undeniably excellent composer up until 1985 and a super talented instrumentalist who, in some ways, has excelled elsewhere more than with the Stones.
