La Dispute

They take cues from At The Drive-In and mewithoutYou to create a unique style, blending post-hardcore, screamo, with a splash of jazz and post-rock. Jonathan Dreyer enriches the instrumental arrangements with truly high-quality lyrics and great vocal versatility, ranging from emotional screams to spoken-word. "Wildlife" is an incredible album and their masterpiece (and they probably won’t ever top it), but the other albums are no slouches either (especially the most recent "Panorama"). Super interesting and highly recommended!

La Dispute is an American post-hardcore band from Grand Rapids, Michigan, formed in 2004. Known for Jordan Dreyer’s narrative, often spoken-word vocals and dynamic shifts from restraint to cathartic intensity, they’ve released acclaimed albums including Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair, Wildlife, Rooms Of The House, and Panorama.
