The AC/DC of heavy metal, who never truly got what they deserved despite releasing a series of really decent albums between the early '80s and the early '90s. The image of Lips playing with a vibrator instead of a pick will, unfortunately, be etched in my mind for life...

Anvil

Anvil are a Canadian heavy metal band formed in 1978 in Toronto by Steve “Lips” Kudlow (vocals, guitar) and Robb Reiner (drums). Their early albums helped define speed metal, and their persistence through decades of lineup and industry shifts was spotlighted in the 2008 documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil.
