A fundamental group for having invented progressive metal and practically untouchable, as listening to the early albums of Fates Warning, Queensrÿche, and Symphony X makes it clear that while they are great records, they have nothing to do with the sound of DT's debut album. As for the story that they are a "technical but emotionless" band, just listen to "A Change of Seasons" to change your mind. For me, everyone can think what they want, but before writing random things, at least listen to "Images and Words," "Awake," "A Change of Seasons," "Metropolis Pt. 2," and "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence."
