A unique debut, with "My Generation" that has all the ingredients to enter history, a series of albums inspired by the psychedelic and beat music of the late '60s, a perfect rock opera ("Tommy"), a flawless and timeless live album in its simplicity ("Live At Leeds"), an album worthy of entering Olympus, a promoter of future punk ("Who's Next?"), a second high-level rock opera, and a series of good albums. The decline in the post-Moon period is not even counted; a 5 is more than justified... damn how much I love them... If I were asked what the quintessential rock band prototype is, I would never mention the various Beatles, nor the Rolling Stones, not even my beloved Led Zeppelin: true rock is them!
