Exceptional in their own right. A separate chapter for the bass. You can tell how wasted Trujillo is with Metallica by listening to the first few seconds of "Violent & Funky" or "Punk It Up". Warm, enveloping bass. Burton, damn it.

Infectious Grooves

Infectious Grooves is a Los Angeles–based funk metal group founded in 1989 by Suicidal Tendencies vocalist Mike Muir with bassist Robert Trujillo. Noted for slap-heavy grooves, humor via their Sarsippius skits, and guests like Ozzy Osbourne (Therapy), the band released The Plague… (1991), Sarsippius’ Ark (1993), Groove Family Cyco (1994), and Mas Borracho (2000).
