Infectious Grooves is an American funk-metal group formed as Mike Muir's side project, noted for mixing funk, metal and hardcore and for Robert Trujillo's prominent bass work.

Formed in 1989 as Mike Muir's funk-metal side project. Robert Trujillo was the band's bassist and later joined Metallica. The debut album The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move... It's the Infectious Grooves was released in 1991.
