I, for example, believe I don't understand it at all, but that's precisely why I love his music so much. Brilliant, unconventional, completely out of his mind. In two words: "Absolutely Free". He released extensive studio and live material, explored electronic composition (Synclavier) and advanced both rock-fusion and contemporary classical idioms.
