PBR. Overweight and weary musical semantics, low-fi electro-junk, unexpected guitars, metallic ethno-digital drummings, bass lines placed differently. POLARBEAR is an introverted beast. Alaska is not a matter of weather-territoriality but a disposition of the soul. Human gels. Livid roads and out of bounds. No technicolor L.A. dreams but raw portraits of urban din. Industrial and dazed sound. Postcards from Taipei, deformed suburbia and altered visions from nothing. Something of Nothing.

Polarbear

POLARBEAR was a Los Angeles underground project active in the mid–late 1990s, led by Eric Avery with Harold "Biff" Sanders and collaborators. The group released a remixes vinyl, the Chewing Gum EP and the 1999 LP Why Something Instead Of Nothing?, blending electronic funk, low-fi electronics and late Californian psychedelia.
