A good band, as far as I'm concerned, still has songs and albums that are appreciable. Cornell's voice is certainly one of the strengths; it's a pity that afterward he attempted a disappointing solo career. Morello sometimes seems a bit confined within the patterns, but when one of his distorted solos kicks in during a predominantly melodic song, it might initially make you wrinkle your nose, but over time his intrusions age better than the song itself.
