An absurd band. Starting from a glam rock influenced by Bowie, they wrote two huge singles like Bela Lugosi's Dead and Dark Entries, passing down to posterity an album that is worth a whole career, In the Flat Field. Their subsequent album, Mask, is also a great record.
Peter Murphy overwhelms the crowds at concerts with his spectral pallor and thinness while Daniel Ash proves to be a badass guitarist. Special mention goes to David J and his typically dub bass lines.
