Unique sound, records and lyrics in which many (myself included, of course) saw themselves reflected... a band I have a particular fondness for. "How soon is now," "heaven knows I'm miserable now," "there is a light that never goes out," "the queen is dead," "the headmaster ritual," and "that joke isn't funny anymore" among my favorites, when pop was something else...

The Smiths were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1982, best known for the songwriting partnership of vocalist Morrissey and guitarist Johnny Marr, alongside bassist Andy Rourke and drummer Mike Joyce.
