Erik Satie

Erik Satie (1866–1925) was a French composer and pianist known for the Gymnopédies and Gnossiennes. A singular voice in early modernism, he is often cited as a precursor to minimalism and ambient music and collaborated with Jean Cocteau and Pablo Picasso on the ballet Parade.
