Luigi Tenco

What strikes me about this boy, besides his beautiful songs and voice, is his extraordinary maturity. Old and wise like the world, a sensitivity, an insight absolutely disproportionate to his age. Not to mention his eclecticism, his passion for jazz and documentaries. A superior man... I think they really killed him like Jesus Christ...

Luigi Tenco

Luigi Tenco (1938–1967) was an Italian singer-songwriter whose intimate, melancholic songs became touchstones of the 1960s cantautore era. Known for pieces like Vedrai vedrai, Lontano Lontano, Mi sono innamorato di te, and Ciao amore, ciao, he died in Sanremo in 1967.
