I’m discovering their repertoire, including their latest works. You can say whatever you want (money-making machine, etc.), but they brought punk to the masses, making it danceable and with definitely non-trivial sounds. Not to mention the importance of Debbie’s figure for the female world.

Blondie

Blondie are a New York City new wave band formed in the mid-1970s, fronted by Debbie Harry and co-founded by Chris Stein. They broke into the mainstream with genre-blending hits like Heart of Glass, Call Me, Rapture, and The Tide Is High, paused in 1982, and reunited in 1997.
