Because "Caronte" and "Atlantide" are masterpieces. Because Joe Vescovi sometimes reminds me of Lake. Because the bass riff in "Two Brothers" rocks. Because "Little Janie" and "Una pietra colorata" may be late-beat naiveté, but they contain everything that was Italian rock of those years. Because "Ode a Jimi Hendrix" could have been written by Morricone. For all these reasons, always and only five.

The Trip

Anglo-Italian progressive rock group active in the early 1970s Italian scene. Key figure was keyboardist Joe Vescovi, alongside bassist/vocalist Arvid “Wegg” Andersen, guitarist William Gray, drummer Pino Sinnone, and later drummer Furio Chirico. Their albums include The Trip, Caronte, Atlantide, and Time of Change, blending psychedelia, hard rock, and jazz-rock with a distinctly Italian flair.
