Ernst Ludwig Kirchner

Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880–1938) was a German painter and printmaker, co-founder of the Die Brücke group. He is known for angular figures, aggressive colours, street scenes and nudes; his work was condemned as "degenerate" by the Nazi regime. He died by suicide in 1938.
