American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Dallas, Texas; founding member of Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills & Nash (and occasionally Young). Known for versatile songwriting, distinctive guitar work, and a peak creative run in the late 1960s to early 1970s.
