The Allman Brothers Band

A band that created a sound influenced by blues, jazz, and rock, almost inventing Southern rock, and unfortunately giving rise to the great tragedies of premature deaths linked to this musical "movement," truly unique, just as unique was Duane Allman's playing style. At Fillmore East is my all-time favorite album.

The Allman Brothers Band

The Allman Brothers Band were an American rock band formed in 1969, closely associated with Macon, Georgia, and widely credited as pioneers of Southern rock. Their sound blended blues rock with extended, jazz-influenced improvisation, highlighted by twin lead guitars and (famously) a two-drummer lineup.
