Galaxie 500

The first definition emotionally destroyed me; it leaves no room for anything else. The only criticism that could be directed at Galaxie 500 would concern a certain repetitiveness which, in hindsight, wouldn't have been such a bad alternative to their disappearance. "On Fire" is absolutely right.

Galaxie 500 were an American indie rock trio from Boston—Dean Wareham, Damon Krukowski, and Naomi Yang—active from 1987 to 1991. Their sparse, dreamy records Today, On Fire, and This Is Our Music helped shape slowcore and dream pop.
