Mr. Bungle

the genius of madness... intelligently chaotic crossover, when not skillfully minimal... a fragile boundary between nonsense and the art of making music. To a keen ear, the latter almost always prevails. Surely the best band with Patton, where (paradoxically, some might say) his contribution is equal, if not inferior, to that of the other musicians.

Mr. Bungle

Mr. Bungle is an American experimental rock/avant‑garde metal band formed in 1985 in Eureka, California by Mike Patton, Trey Spruance, and Trevor Dunn. They released three studio albums—Mr. Bungle (1991), Disco Volante (1995), and California (1999)—and became renowned for extreme genre‑blending and technical precision. They reunited in 2019.
