It's not just guitar playing; it's magic. Duane Allman didn't write the songs, but the fact is that in every piece he found the notes to play... not others, just those. But it's not fair to stop at Duane: even Gregg, with his voice and keyboards, made a good contribution. Same goes for Betts... not to mention the idea of having two drummers!

The Allman Brothers Band

The Allman Brothers Band were an American rock band formed in 1969, closely associated with Macon, Georgia, and widely credited as pioneers of Southern rock. Their sound blended blues rock with extended, jazz-influenced improvisation, highlighted by twin lead guitars and (famously) a two-drummer lineup.
