Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band

"Safe as Milk" is one of the most beautiful albums of the '60s and probably not just that. An artist who has been greatly re-evaluated, and even though I still don’t quite love an album as objectively brilliant as "Trout Mask Replica," I think albums like Safe and "Mirror Man" are enough to elevate him to myth status. A seminal artist. (The collaboration with Zappa in "Bongo Fury" is also exceptional.)
