LA RECENSIONE

Today, on the last day of the year, I find myself reviewing a vaguely interesting little group (perhaps an amateur joke by bored teenagers)... I say vaguely because it's always the same old "new wave" revival story that a thousand other bands around the world are doing... I don't know why I'm reviewing their debut single today, maybe because the cover image is intriguing or perhaps out of boredom... anyway, let's move on to the track.

The track in question is nothing special and gathers the most disparate influences, from techno to shoegaze, through italo disco, up to the most commercial new wave that emerged in the '80s, singing with a vocoder, banal keyboard chords, vaguely danceable rhythm, and a pseudo "disco music" bass... the result is a somewhat boring track but one that still makes you tap your foot (even if only for the first minute).

What can I say?? I don't know if it's an occasional joke made by someone bored or a real band, but if this is their debut single, it's not bad.. the ideas are there, the focus on them a little less so.
