2011. Untitled, as some painters title their paintings, for the new album of original songs by Luca Carboni, five years after the previous one "Le band si sciolgono". Ten songs by an ex good singer-songwriter who has certainly lost the inspiration of the '80s and early '90s, but who unlike others has not sold out and prefers to appear little but do it well. The album contains ten pieces about love, life, time, and other themes dear to the Bolognese artist. All with a neutral title, to perceive the work as a whole. Notable mentions include "Fare le valigie", "Cazzo che bello l'amore", a single that marked the years 2011 and 2012, for the great return of someone who has written, it must be remembered, some of the most beautiful songs in Italian singer-songwriter music (just think of "Silvia lo sai", from 1987). Essential sounds, discreet lyrics, a bit of anger with terms like "cazzo" to make the message more energetic and expressive. There is also space for the father in "Senza strade" and in the concluding "Madre". I believe Luca will release an album every 5 years by contract, so we are expecting his new originals in 2016. However, he has proven to be good also with covers, more in "Musiche ribelli" than in "Fisico e politico". Rating for the album is 3 stars, it is an honest music project that is appreciable, although it does not have grandiose songs. Melancholic and suggestive, like the cover, which portrays Luca with his son, a beautiful image.
