Low

Long Division AristarcoScannabue

Low stitches together the minimalism of La Monte Young, ambient, classical music, and rock by penetrating and welding their statutes.

Long Division hides within icy appearances its propositional character, its vitality, abandoning the visionary psychedelia of the debut for a sound that is almost cruel in its realism.

Discover the sonic depths of Long Division—listen now and experience Low's groundbreaking minimalist rock.

Low

Low were an American indie rock band formed in Duluth, Minnesota, known for their early slowcore minimalism and later turns toward more experimental, electronics-forward production. Core members Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker (who were married) anchored the group’s sound; bassist Steve Garrington is also featured in these reviews. Mimi Parker died in 2022, and Hey What is widely described as the band’s final album.
