THE REVIEW

It had been a while since the Italian scene last saw a funny pop band with a cheeky vibe reminiscent of the "Revenge of the Nerds". You listen to them, find them amusing, they bring a smile to your face, you put the CD in your car and play it while driving down the rusty highways of Italy, and then another CD comes along and you forget it there in the car, in the CD holder, cooking under the sun in the parking lot.

Then one day you remember that CD, and thinking back, you recall that yes, it was funny... sure, but those silly lyrics... sure, but those cheap solutions... sure, but those silly songs, but who can say they are a fan of such a band without getting at least a bit of teasing? You listen to it again and realize that the album, like the band, is going nowhere. What seemed amusing now seems all calculated, all fake (like the sounds) all prepared to throw sand in your eyes at first, but it's clear that it's an album with a lifespan of no more than three months, the following year it would rightfully seem ridiculous and stale like that shriveled sausage that's been in the freezer for too long. Because here we're talking about levels below zero.

It's the disappointment for yet another Italian band that comes out and inevitably shows that in Italy, ideas are scarce. Again.
