Louis Malle (1932–1995) was a French film director, screenwriter, and producer associated with the French New Wave. His eclectic career spanned documentaries and fiction, including Elevator to the Gallows, The Lovers, Zazie dans le métro, Le Feu follet, Atlantic City, My Dinner with Andre, Au revoir les enfants, Pretty Baby, and Damage.
