I believe that the long pause for reflection between the release of the last true studio work, "Psycho Magnet" (thus excluding the collection of various materials "Oddities"), and the new album has been beneficial to allow Sean Brennan, always the leader of the U.S. band, to find a more meaningful musical expression and sound stimuli for the listener.
Not that London After Midnight should be diminished for what was produced in the previous two albums (also well-received by critics and the public) nor that they have repudiated the inclination for a gothic sound derived from rock and post-wave, but they have given themselves a nice shake, bringing to light a series of similarities (from Nine Inch Nails to Marilyn Manson to Alien Sex Fiend), that do not necessarily downgrade the writing of the Los Angeles band, but rather elevate it from a qualitative point of view, enrich it with new and inviting details and nuances and allow them to compose varied and captivating songs that pass through invigorating electronic injections.
After all, the goal of London After Midnight has always been to change objectives and this contaminated and pop interpretation (of glam lineage, always present in their DNA, and even with some psychedelic nuances) makes the songs pleasantly catchy, besides reinforcing the group's concept, that is, that of rational mutation and the publication of material only when deemed worthy of seeing the light and always more than abundantly good. This is a sign of consistency for what Sean Brennan has conveyed over the years, considering his battles for animal rights and environmental defense, for a truly progressive policy, and for the true freedom of human beings.
Robust jolts of gothic emotions.

08 Fear (04:41)
Come take a piece of me.
Come cripple what you see.
Come be a part of what's inside.
You wanted something more,
that what was really yours,
come on and use what you despise.
You're all I ever need.
I'll never make you bleed,
until I use you up,
and still that's not enough.
And all that I can't see,
is insincerity.
And all that I can see,
is void of personality.
Don't go near,
the man you fear.
Just take away my name,
and bury all the fame.
And let the fear make them blind.
And that is all you need,
To satisfy your greed.
And sell yourself as the divine.
You're all I ever need.
I'll never make you bleed,
until I use you up,
and still that's not enough.
And all that I can't see,
is insincerity.
And all that I can see,
is void of personality.
Don't go near,
the man you fear.
He's truth lies there,
the man you fear.
Don't go near,
the man you fear.
He's truth lies there,
the man you fear.
I am the man you fear.
I am the man you fear.
I am the man you fear.
I am the man you fear.
I am the man you fear.
I am the man you fear.
I am the man you fear.
