THE REVIEW

The moment I've been eagerly waiting for has arrived. Finally, good music is back in Italy. And finally, Pelù has understood that without Renzulli he couldn't move forward since his solo career was an almost total failure. Meanwhile, Renzulli realized that with that horse head he had ended up on the brink of disaster or close to it. Calling a band Litfiba without Piero, and putting in some random guy was a suicide mission. You cannot desecrate a band that has made the history of Italian rock in such a way. Pelù, on his part, discredited himself by releasing four terrible albums with ridiculous lyrics and appalling texts, making himself unworthy of belonging to that band. Finally, they understood their place was together and not ruining each other's reputations.

Let's move on to their comeback: the album in question is a double live with two new tracks which is a good starting point. Two new tracks indeed: "Sole nero" is a very beautiful song that almost takes us back to the "Terremoto" days, with pure rock sounds. Great first step. "Barcollo," another masterpiece that leans more towards the sounds of "Insidia," but is made special by Piero's voice, with a very beautiful central solo. Then onto the great masterpieces: from "El Diablo" to "Maudit" up to "Lulu e Marlene" passing through "Ferito" performed with great mastery. It's been since "Colpo di coda" that we haven't seen such a live release. The only flaw of the album is the drumming which seems almost inaudible. Nevertheless, a round of applause for this return of the greatest Italian band.

W i Litfiba!!!

It was a night full of honest and 'working-class' rock n roll: no stroboscopic special effects, no moving stages. Just music and nothing more.

The best and most heartfelt tracks are the least expected ones... In these moments, it truly feels like a return to the essence of the old-style Litfiba.
