THE REVIEW

Litfiba, the greatest Italian rock band (of the past, mind you!) have released many albums, and almost always great works, at least until some time ago, and I will avoid going further with the usual discussions on the matter, which frankly become tiring over time.
Let's get to the point.

"Litfiba 3" is another great chapter of their history, from when they still made very original music characteristic of a unique style, all Mediterranean, and to be precise, ITALIAN!
This record still retains the 80s sound of the group, to be specific, that of "Desaparecido" and "17 Re".
Genuine gems are found in this record, which were then rearranged (as per the finest Litfiba tradition) in the following years creating really powerful versions (see "Sogno Ribelle", for example).
Tracks like "Santiago", "Amigo", "Louisiana", "Ci sei solo tu", "Paname", "Tex", and "Bambino" are now timeless classics that anyone who comes to listen to Ghigo & Co. cannot help but know, besides the fact that they were great staples, conceived in a unique era, and this album still holds all the charm of the period in which it was released.
Songs that capture and engage, especially when you're young and rebellious, and personally I have this memory tied to Litfiba's music, in general, not just for this particular album.
As always, political themes on the background of their lyrics, marking the Pelù-thought (but also Ghigo's), and overall a great work as only ours knew how to do. We are still in an era very far from the stratospheric successes of later works and this makes the album even more fascinating and of "historical" value for the group.
A good 5 is well deserved.

P.S.
I really appreciated being able to choose in DeGeneri "Rock Italiano".

An innovative record for the time but at the same time raw.

For collectors and genre enthusiasts, a true relic to be venerated and contemplated.

‘and dictatorship and religion have an orgy on the balcony’

‘Corri’, a song for rebellious souls, rapid and fresh, just like the entire album.

With this record, the band reaches full maturity, a bridge between their initial New Wave and a more progressive rock, still extremely sharp and refined.

Pelù reaches his peak, as a matured frontman aware of his incredible means with a grandiose performance, capable of stirring emotions from the first to the last note.
