THE REVIEW

This album creates quite a few problems, both for the casual listener and for those who decide to write a review about it. There's no use lamenting the band's past, the new wave sounds, the hard rock of recent years, those on the brink of decline, no use racking your brains over unforgettable songs like "Eroi nel vento", "Guerra", "Re del silenzio". Litfiba 1999 are known for the bland disco-pop of "Mascherina", the insipid pseudo-hip hop pastiche of "Frank", the anonymous rock of "Canto di gioia".
No thrill, no surprise, this album glides away unnoticed, and its greatest utility might be as background music, more to be ignored than absorbed. Faint traces of redemption are recognizable in tracks still below average like "Nuovi rampanti" and "Prendi in mano i tuoi anni", ruined by insipid lyrics and a Renzulli even more prosaic than usual.
The only acceptable moments of the collection are the melancholic pop-psychedelic fantasy of "Vivere il mio tempo", and the hypnotic conclusion of "Incantesimo", where electronics now take the lead.

In short, an album that has nothing in common with the real Litfiba, a simple record deal compromise released without enthusiasm and without interest. A real shame, in any case, almost a stab to the heart.
I don't really want to mention Gianluigi "Cabo" Cavallo's Litfiba, in my opinion no better than this last attempt with Pelù, only capable of capitalizing on the brand's success. As comedian Alberto Patrucco would say, darkness...

Summary by Bot

Litfiba's album Infinito is marked by uninspired disco-pop and mediocre rock, missing the edge that defined the band's previous successes. Slight redeeming moments exist but are overshadowed by prosaic lyrics and detached delivery. The album feels like a contractual obligation rather than a passionate effort, disappointing fans familiar with Litfiba's earlier work.

Only the history of music, with its time, will be able to do justice to the best CD in Italian Musical History: INFINITO.
