After the collaboration with 24 Grana, singer Libera Velo dedicates herself to the solo project "Riffa". The executive and stylistic relationship of the old band remains alive (thanks anyway to the artistic production of drummer Renato Minale).
The album showcases a multitude of facets thanks to an effective interweaving of analog and electronic moments: psychedelic layers and sampled drums adhere to electric guitars, often rocking, which help to numb the sound environment.
The voice reigns emphatic and eclectic ranging between jazz influences (Sottile piacere) and ethnic-Neapolitan (Mura antiche), in a mix that highlights illustrious names such as Meg and Erika Badu. But the constant of the album is its purely Mediterranean aspect, between waves of electronic experimentation (We dance in a baton charge) harmoniously juxtaposed with acoustic and frolicsome sets (Ballata Felix).
The atmosphere warms up progressively as the work is listened to. Like a path that starts from the outskirts of Naples, passes through the walls of Officina 99, and branches out into the meanders of a labyrinth composed of compartments of auteur music and atmospheric precision. Very pleasant to listen to.
