Legend has it about an ancient and illustrious fellow citizen of theirs who, with just the laying on of hands, could multiply bread and fish, cure incurable diseases, and walk on water, so Samir, Wissam, and Adnan, otherwise known as the Joubran Brothers from Nazareth, boast significant credentials in the field of miracles.

Although there may be doubts about the fact that the archaeically modern sonic tapestry handwoven on this sixth album by the phenomenal Palestinian ensemble, the sincerity and purity of the Mediterranean-Oriental sounds emanating from the ouds caressed by the trio, the rustic drumming of scattered pulsating nocturnal percussion, and a ghostly voice from the deep desert (Dhafer Youssef) are capable of reviving the deceased Lazarus, it is absolutely beyond doubt that they can produce full and lasting benefit for those fortunate enough to embark on the same, miraculous, journey.

Insensate note: in the less nocturnal moments, it seems like hearing a deflamencoed version of the guitar-trio wonders Di Meola/De Lucía/McLaughlin, in a mystical-Arabesque style.
