Time for revolutions? Mmh… Although the band Lava opens this delightful four-track EP with a song entitled “La revolucion,” which has a very punk, aggro vibe (as LA skater punks in Venice define their aggressive style), Lava quickly clarifies things… “Where are you going if you don't have a gun?” Eh yes… But we like the concept itself... Given the times… And we also like this EP because it’s a successful mishmash of genres where noise rock, punk, alternative, and indie certainly take the lead, but then other elements (dreamy guitars, even a melodic jazzy trumpet) come in and out of each track, making the EP very accessible, varied, and original.
