Larry Carlton

Larry Carlton is an American guitarist famed for his lyrical tone and versatility across jazz fusion, smooth jazz, and blues. A first-call session player, he contributed to Steely Dan’s The Royal Scam, Aja, and Gaucho and Donald Fagen’s The Nightfly, and was a key voice with The Crusaders. After surviving a 1988 shooting and rehabilitation, he resumed a prolific solo career, returning to the blues with Sapphire Blue.
