THE REVIEW

Flower power in space!

Starting from the assumption that there are things which, albeit few, please everyone (like making love with Angelina Jolie, for example, or Brad Pitt, depending on your sexual inclinations), for better or worse, this record should satisfy every auditory pavilion searching with frenzied eagerness: psychedelic pollutions, flowered spaceports, southeastern ejaculations and sonic mantras.

Previously the voice and bass in the New Zealand heavy/psych group Datura, Craig Williamson takes on the full weight of the "Lamp Of The Universe" project.
In 2001, he shut himself in his room and emerged, preceded by a cloud of smoke, with bloodshot eyes and this 33 RPM record in his little hands.
The disc has everything: from prog to raga folk, from guitars with blues desires, to the search for space rock sounds, from yoga mats, to the rings of Saturn.

Craig does it all by himself: bass, guitar, joints, sitar, acids, drums, drones, and voice. He does it all like only a stoner could: slowly, with a relaxed tone, without the pretense of proving anything to anyone, just the search for catalepsy.

Well now listen to it, because talking about it would just be a waste of time: what you needed to know you now know. And rest assured you'll see, you'll like it. Just as you can be sure you'd enjoy getting all sweaty with Angelina Jolie; or Brad Pitt, I can't know if you prefer the flute or the bagpipe.

What? You still don't trust?
Hell, you really are a pain! Here: OOOO

There you go, warm it up, roll it, light it and lay down.

Was it that hard?
