THE REVIEW

Faint, delicate voice. A magnificent melody and a rhythm that captivates, moves from within. At times, Lali Puna bring to mind their fellow countrymen Notwist, there's something of Frou Frou in the faint voices and sonorities, but the chorus openings have something truly magical. A delightful but meaningful Indie electronic, reminiscent of arty New York clubs, night music. The voice is feminine, there's a hovering of Beth Gibbons and Karen O, but the tone is intimate and personal enough to be unmistakable.

This is the album of consecration for Lali Puna, a truly beautiful album that finds its astonishing peak in "Grin And Bear," truly one of the best songs I have ever heard, with a drum interlude supported by a minimalist bass, a guitar that finds its right placement with its simple and effective riff, vaguely reminiscent of "Maps" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Magnificent.

Highly recommended album to everyone. Yes, everyone...
