La Methamorfosi – In dolore (self-produced)

Two years after their first record (a slap in the face), La Methamorfosi returns with another high-voltage album, without compromises. Terrifying riffs, between doom, metal, stoner, with sudden proto punk accelerations. Above all, a shroud of "pain," of despair that hovers over our sick times (from fake illness, both pandemic and economic). The voice, even with singing in Italian, immediately brings to mind Layne from Alice In Chains. This is not a downside, to be clear. On the contrary. Words are articulated to make the meaning of this pain clearly understood. And against these sick times, the maximum volume rage of the guitar (absolutely devastating in every track) could be the soundtrack, to quote some titles from this album, a cry of alarm because, as if to say "We hit rock bottom" ... "We don't know how to defend ourselves". Clearly, to be listened to at a very high volume.
