LA RECENSIONE

Kraftwerk ergo “How To Build Your Own Automaton”.

Background: Cosmogony.

At the chaotic ringing, everything is set —origin and crescendo— dramatically in motion.

The fortuitous play of corpuscles glimmers, whose mutual disruption causes noise.

Contrasting, frail harmonic lines rise and vanish: snow dodecahedrons flecked in the burning heat.

Order is glimpsed (perhaps) —origin and crescendo— a beginning: the random conflagrations become more structured masses.

It is as if they have just woken up, still awakening, from a nap on a cosmic carousel, noises finding no rest.

Frantically, that-unable-to-stand-because-of-the-vertigo-given-by-the-cochlear-vestibule-whose-stability-is-usually-guaranteed-by-verticality, somehow settles.

These crashings play at spinning-the-head-around-the-world-and-vice-versa, then make way for silence.

Silence has little life, however: an elementary drumming superimposed and intersected reemerges from the undulating magma, with some sketch of organization.

Order stumbles; it spills into its opposite: this flowing of the fortuitous into the orderly is made of various attempts.

Sometimes tearing itself into an abyss.

Gloomily, the boiling has now become a sway.

In the ringing, an intercalation has now made its way; in the drumming, a rhythm is now discovered.

By now, the noise is unrecognizable; its ancient face fades.

The disruption loses its contours.

Quietly, an anvil solemnity has been outlined.

Only one last step remains: from the prelude of the world to the artifact of man.

Discovery, epiphany.

All of man's art is realized in industry!

An industrial noise reemerges from within the rhythm: a rhythmic noise.

Dizziness of a circle: ordered chaos — disordered regularity.

Zenith of the travail.

It highlights the album's experimental nature, describing the interplay of disorder and order, noise and rhythm. While appreciating the artistic vision, the rating reflects a balanced, nuanced response. The piece is poetic and abstract, emphasizing the evolution of sound as a metaphor for creation and human industry.

Kraftwerk - Organisation

Organisation was the precursor group to Kraftwerk; their album Tone Float is an early example of experimental/electronic krautrock.

In the beginning, there was noise.

 Then there were the Kraftwerk.
