Rating: Love Moves is the seventh studio album by the British singer Kim Wilde, released in 1990. Let's start with the assumption that this album is light years away from the beauty contained in "Close" but it is still not bad and still appreciable as her work. Let's begin with the first track of the album, the beautiful "It's Here", one of my favorites. I really like the intro, especially the slow start of the other instruments, both the song and especially the video are very well done, and I highly recommend watching it. The second track is really a pop piece, you can already tell from its beginning, it's not bad and shouldn't be discarded. I love the third track a lot, also because Kim Wilde's voice stands out and it’s really pleasant to listen to when you are looking for a bit of peace and a romantic but not sappy piece. The fourth track doesn't say much to me, I don't want to dwell too much on it. The fifth track is truly a masterpiece of a song and my second favorite on the album, it's really spectacular. Here Kim Wilde’s voice is truly incredible, not to mention the children’s voices heard in the background, making it seem as if they are playing or smiling—a really great piece of a song and truly moving. The sixth track I wouldn’t know where to place, honestly it doesn't say anything to me except that it’s very catchy, it seems a lot like "You Came" with the chorus. I must say that the seventh track is very beautiful and catchy as a song, but it doesn’t convey anything to me compared to the others already mentioned. I don't like the eighth track because it's too pop, almost dance, too far from her previous album "Close". In fact, "Love Moves" is peculiar in that it already starts experimenting with more commercial genres like its predecessor "Love Is", none of whose songs appeal to me. I'll skip the ninth and tenth tracks; they aren't songs I like. In conclusion, I’d give this album a 6 compared to "Close", which is beyond 10 as a grade. I really love that CD by Kim Wilde.
