I must tell you first how I discovered Keane. I heard them through the famous commercial and honestly thought they were just another band that had made it with a hit and that's it, I listened to it out of curiosity. "Hope and Fears" wasn't just a little record, I liked it immediately. And honestly, not being a musician, I didn't notice the absence of guitars, I liked those guys, they were clever, I wore out the CD in the car. "Under the Iron Sea" with some beautiful songs ("is it any wonder" and "under the iron sea") was another very pleasant surprise and it's still in the car alongside Coldplay and REM.
Now I'm listening to this one and they've grown, damn if they've grown, he has a beautiful voice, this time they found the guitarist bassist and you can hear it.
It starts with "Spiralling" and it's a great beginning not in the Keane style with a nice bass riff and a pounding drum, it continues with "The lovers are losing" which is 100% Keane style. It goes on without missteps in my opinion with the gem of the album "perfect symmetry" and "Again & again," noteworthy are "black burning heat" and the ballad "love is the end," in short, a great album in my opinion and in certain passages Chaplin's voice reminds me of the great Freddy and they in certain passages sound like Queen (I'm not crazy in "You don't see me" and "perfect symmetry").
In my opinion, they know how to mix many styles to create a very personal one.
In short, I disagree with Noel Gallagher who called the album shit, (by the way, it's No.1. in the UK knocking off Oasis themselves). "Perfect Symmetry" is an album that flows beautifully and when you're done, you press "play" again.
Moreover, you can listen to the samples on their website.
Enjoy listening. (ah, it's my first one) sorry.

This 'Perfect Symmetry' album positions itself in the discography of the British band as the most classic of transitional albums.
The album opens with one of Keane’s most beautiful and surprising songs, the first single 'Spiralling' (synth pop very, very kitschy).
