THE REVIEW

Painkiller represents the pinnacle reached by heavy metal as a pure genre. In my opinion, there are no evolutions after this album. Absolute violence combined with incredible power, the drumming of Scott Travis is immortal. “Metal meltdown” with its majestic intro, the heavy riffs of “Between the hammer and the anvil”, “Nightcrawler”, the epic “Touch of evil”. Halford reaches incredibly high notes, almost like King Diamond, the solos are very powerful, and the drumming is relentless. The best "pure" heavy album ever conceived. "Hell Patrol" and "All guns blazing" are, in my view, great tracks, but the absolute masterpiece is the splendid title track, "Painkiller": insane speed, riffs as sharp as chainsaws and extremely fast and super technical solo sections, tempo changes dictated by the superb performance behind the drums by Travis, and Halfrod's magnificent screaming. Tracks with a fabulous feeling, characterized by Rob's vocal lines that verge on transcendence, with immortal riffs and heart-stopping solos, capable of creating a formidable impact and tight rhythms. Moreover, Scott Travis is the best drummer the Priest ever had, his contribution to Painkiller's intro would be enough to understand it. In short, the ultimate masterpiece of the group, for which there is only one adjective. There's only to add that after this work, Halford left, leaving his old bandmates stranded since after this, the Priest were no longer the Priest!!!!! Among the ten most important works in the history of metal!!!!!! THIS CD IS A MASTERPIECE ___________

We are faced with one of the best songs ever written, fittingly covered by the great Chuck (R.I.P.) of Death in his last work.

Daily bread for anyone who calls themselves a metalhead!

THE BEST "PURE" HEAVY ALBUM EVER CONCEIVED.

It’s my first time :) I’m about to review a masterpiece, a milestone of heavy metal, in my opinion, the best work by Judas Priest.

Just this piece would be worth the purchase of the album, but Judas did not hold back and gave us one masterpiece after another.

"Painkiller is a monster and at the same time a metal demigod loaded with apocalyptic and pseudo-messianic threats."
