THE REVIEW

In this record, the technique that characterizes the Judas shines through. In "Painkiller", there are amazing solos and fast riffs. The album opens with the title track "Painkiller" where Rob Halford's extraordinary voice immediately stands out. The piece begins with an intro from the drummer, showcasing all his class. It is followed by a truly exceptional riff and a terrifying solo. The second track "Hell's Patrol" is my favorite and, in my opinion, is a masterpiece. From the third to the fifth track, there are very fast riffs that carry the listener: "All Guns Blazing," "Leather Rebel," and "Metal Meltdown." The latter opens with an extraordinary solo.

The sixth track "Nightcrawler" opens with a series of arpeggios, and its rhythm is dark and truly captivating. The seventh "Betwenn The Hammer & The Anvil" has a solo that most characterizes the distinct Judas Priest style. It is played very quickly and is absolutely fantastic. In the eighth track "A Touch Of Evil", there is the bell present as in "Black Sabbath" and in "For Whom The Bell Tolls," which are two pieces from the major representatives of the genre we love so much. The first is a masterpiece track from Black Sabbath, from whom many Metal bands have taken inspiration. On the other hand, the Metallica track taken from "Ride The Lightning" has one of the most famous metal riffs. The ninth is the battle anthem of Judas Priest. The track is called precisely "Battle Hymn" and is a purely instrumental piece. The last track "One Shot At Glory" is a fitting closure to a great album like "Painkiller." I believe that this band deserves a shot of glory, not only for its technique but also for its career. After all, Judas released their first record in 1974: you do the math.

We are faced with one of the best songs ever written, fittingly covered by the great Chuck (R.I.P.) of Death in his last work.

Daily bread for anyone who calls themselves a metalhead!

Painkiller represents the pinnacle reached by heavy metal as a pure genre.

The absolute masterpiece is the splendid title track, 'Painkiller': insane speed, riffs as sharp as chainsaws and extremely fast and super technical solo sections.

It’s my first time :) I’m about to review a masterpiece, a milestone of heavy metal, in my opinion, the best work by Judas Priest.

Just this piece would be worth the purchase of the album, but Judas did not hold back and gave us one masterpiece after another.

"Painkiller is a monster and at the same time a metal demigod loaded with apocalyptic and pseudo-messianic threats."

 "METAL IS PAINKILLER!"
