My favorite genre is definitely heavy metal, but every genre has its good and bad sides.
Jovanotti is the man who brought rap to Italy and he is also the man who wrote great light and enjoyable albums like ''La Mia Moto'' and ''Una Tribù Che Balla'', as well as masterpieces like ''Safari'' (the latest album by Lorenzo and also my favorite) and ''Buon sangue''.
But this is 2011 and Jovanotti decides to offer us ''Ora''... to be honest, I never would have expected Cherubini to release an exceptional album like Safari again, but I also did not expect this flop.
This album is really lacking in ideas... ''Tutto L'Amore Che Ho'' is a completely banal song that if it were done by someone from Amici Di Maria De Filippi I might like it, but since it's by Jovanotti... well... it annoys me a lot.
''Le Tasche Piene Di Sassi'' is more a poem than a song and it reminds of the singer from the past, so it's one of the few salvageable songs on the album.
''Il Più Grande Spettacolo Dopo Il Big Bang'' has a more banal text than ''Tutto L'Amore Che Ho'' and serves only to make a few silly kids dance who may never have heard a Jovanotti lyric.
Other notable songs include ''Io Danzo'', another banal song by Lorenzo, and the just sufficient title-track ''Ora'' which addresses ''important themes'' (note the quotation marks).
In summary... if I liked ''Safari'' this ''Ora'' I really don't like and I don't recommend it either to fans of the old Jovanotti or to lovers of the new Lorenzo with poetic lyrics like ''A Te''.

Good music is the kind that leaves you with something, that moves you and makes you feel better.
Instead of crying, he shouts, laughs, sweats, and exudes life from every single sound.

The merit of this Ora is that it finally manages to sound like an authentic album: there’s nothing forced, everything is genuine, “felt” by the artist.
Finally Lorenzo makes the music he wants, without having to answer to anyone.

A brilliant musical journey that captivates with every track.
Ora showcases Jovanotti's creative energy and artistic mastery.
