Really really bad the last record by Jovanotti, which was supposed to be called "Ussignur" but effectively became "Oh, Vita!" for reasons unknown to us.
A record that's quite bland and lacking in ideas. Like many that are published, to be honest, especially in these times, in Italy.
Half of the tracks seem to be played with the guitar, as if he were De André, who he neither has the voice nor the poetic height of. The rhythmic tracks seem like overused fare from country fairs ("Italia") and the choruses of certain songs seem like outdated "celentanate" made with a 30-year delay ("Viva la Libertà"). Some things are saved, especially the sound quality of some tracks ("Sbam"), polished by Rick Rubin. But there's not a shadow of real musicians: all samples and very little "played music".
In short: if I have to say my piece, it's a big misstep. But in this Italy full of brown-nosers and unrelenting sycophants, will there ever be someone who will have the courage to tell him to his face? Will there be a "true friend," a Faturnino, a Cecchetto who can calmly tell him "Lorenzo, you know you've made a bland and really bad album"? No, huh? Too afraid of backlash or something else.
Oh well, I suspected as much. I was joking too.... :))
