It is said that rap is stagnating, and all things considered, it's not entirely false.

Since '99, no great rap records have come out, the new school of our local double h is taking over at the expense of the old school.

Giovanni Cassano, known as JOE CASSANO AKA JOHNNY JAB, definitely marked the Italian rap scene with a very distinctive flow, a unique and original style characterized this Italo-American rapper. Rap in Italy can be traced back to the early '90s with the first anonymous productions from the underground scene (including the old Articolo 31, 00Kash, L199).
This record, more than an album, is a tribute to a young man who left us too soon (due to causes I prefer not to mention), a tribute to his death and the void he left in the Italian scene.

Starting over will not be easy, '99 is the most prolific year for anonymous hh, but on the fateful 4th of April, Joe leaves us, and from that moment on, anyone who tries to rap, attempts to rap, you see everyone starting to be MCs even without knowing a damn thing about what hip hop is!

Joe knew it... r.i.p. a record perhaps too old to be reviewed but I recommend it to all lovers of clandestine and anonymous rap!!
