This is my favorite box set. I must acknowledge that, while almost all the others are albums that seem a bit hard to digest at first listen, this one is an exception. After debuting with This Was (1968) and after recording Stand Up (1969), an album very diverse in terms of musical styles and which includes Bourée, an instrumental track through which the Tull captured the attention of both critics and the public, Benefit (1970) was released. The variety of styles in the second album makes the third record decidedly more rock in sound. It must be recognized that this is a particular album, as there are some songs that remind of the Beatles' style (just listen to Son and 17 to realize it). In 2013, Benefit - A Collector's Edition was released, a fantastic collectible box set that, in addition to the album and its bonus tracks [which, except for track 11 which is the same in both, are different from the standard version, as the bonus tracks of the Standard Edition are: Singing All Day, Witch's Promise, Just Trying To Be, and Teacher (Original UK mix), those of the deluxe edition are: Singing All Day, Sweet Dream, 17, Teacher (UK Single Version), and Teacher (US album version)] includes a second CD containing the Associated Recordings and a DVD.

It truly must be acknowledged: in this Special Edition, Steven Wilson has truly done an excellent job, also because he has given enthusiasts like me a very valuable collectible set to keep among the most important CDs. The only flaw is that some bonus tracks are a bit hard to digest at first listening, but I am sure that, with a little patience, the listening will then go smoothly from start to finish.

In short, this is a Collector's Edition that will soon become a great super classic for enthusiasts. I can say that those who do not own it really don't know what they're missing!
