THE REVIEW

Seven years of absence; seven years of vain waiting.

An EP as a precursor, to rekindle the living flame... and the wait can finally be considered over.

A blurred, foggy image on the cover; that well introduces and accompanies us into the current world of the band.

Justin Broadrick is an experienced fifty-year-old who has nothing to prove.

He speaks, he tells his story with Music, as he has always done since the mid-eighties with all the projects set up, built by his skillful hands.

Slow Core-Shoegaze of disarming simplicity; sharp guitars that enter, still scratching like in the Godflesh creature. But with less specific weight, with less oppressive use of distortions.

The overall flow of the album is "floating", vaporous; like being immersed in an embryonic liquid.

Just quoting the long title track is enough to give weight to my newly typed words: suspended, liquid minutes, with Justin's voice enchanting, mesmerizing, conquering. A white, light, spiraling wall of sound. Immense spaces that open up about halfway through the listening; slow, sublime, minimal movements. Then the ascent, the instruments rise in intensity, always staying within sound levels that are never excessive, never too intrusive; it's like this until the end, until the peak is reached...

Welcome back Justin and thank you, as always...

Ad Maiora.
